Developers from Mojang Studios have begun active work on the second part of the Caves & Cliffs update Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.18.0.24 The game has new blocks, music, and many other interesting things. Also, the developers have fixed a large number of various bugs.
Sculk blocks
First of all, it is worth starting with the appearance of new blocks from the Dark Deep biome in Minecraft 1.18.0.24 There are five of them: sculk sensor, sculk block, sculk catalyst block, sculk shrieker block. When moving, the player creates vibrations that are transmitted through the blocks.
The sculk sensor picks up these vibrations and, at the same time, gives a redstone signal. At the same time, it activates the sculk shrieker block, which can make very loud sounds. When activated, this block imposes the effect of darkness on the player.
Dark effect
As previously mentioned, in Minecraft 1.18.0.24, the user can catch this effect in the Dark Deep biome. The influence of this effect is very similar to blindness, but it is significantly different. With the effect of blindness, the player sees almost nothing. And the new effect only darkens the user’s screen but still leaves room to see.
Stone peaks
Another interesting innovation in Minecraft 1.18.0.24 is Stony Peaks.
The developers added this biome in order to solve the problem of temperature collisions. This location is represented by high mountains that contain only stone and gravel.
Vanilla experiments
In Minecraft 1.18.0.24, the player may notice a new option during world creation, which is called Vanilla Experiments. The fact is that the developers decided to transfer the goat horn and sculk sensor to an experimental game mode because they are not yet fully functional.
